I used to get 3 hours sleep every day. Back then my body still can take the sleep debt, physical pain and the anxiety that came along with it. But as you grow older, your body just don’t function like how it used to.

Your health, wealth and relationships will take a dive. Having a good night’s rest is fundamental for your well-being. Here are 10 tips that will drastically improve your sleep!

  • Exercise (In the afternoon!)

Getting the right amount of exercise every day helps encourage better sleep. You don’t need to hit the gym for 2 hours at a go, maybe an additional 20 mins walk to your work is working well enough for you!

  • Make your bedroom for sleep

A lot of us have constant distractions in our lives, having us constantly drifting from idea to idea.
we often have TVs, laptops and phones by our side for 24/7, our minds don’t get any rest from all the dopamine rush.
Remove the items for a week, you’ll see a big drastic improvement in the quality of your sleep!

  • Essential oils!

They might not be for everyone, but if you are open to trying new things. You should give lavender a try.

In general, the best temperature to sleep is 60 and 67 degrees Fahrenheit. You should think of your bedroom as cool, dark, and quiet.

Wake up early (Even if you don’t get enough sleep)

Waking up early when you didn’t get a good night’s rest might cause you to have occur a little sleep debt – but the good news is you’ll be able to sleep early tonight instead of your usual 1am-2am.

The more rest you get, the better you’ll sleep.

Avoid heavy meals close to bedtime.

Eating a large meal will results in the stimulation of your body’s metabolic system. Which isn’t ideal, as you have to slow things down before you sleep.

Consistent sleep schedule

Keeping a proper sleep cycle is important. If you wake up at the same time every day and sleep at the same day, you’ll always feel refreshed.

Don’t drink too much water before you sleep!

Cut out caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes before sleep

Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol are a mix of stimulants and depressants. If you choose to avoid them entirely before you sleep.. it’ll be ideal.
